sampled virtual music instruments that fulfill all criteria to be considered "Free and Open Source".
There is also the "other" list which features libraries that can only be used with small restrictions.

This article shows criteria of good software.
It will be shown how a program performs well or poorly. At the end
the reader hopefully is more aware, what constitues a good program and what to
look for when choosing a new one.
